Name:Tiberius of the Deep
Distant from the land dwelling kingdoms of the dragon shifters is the far coast bordering the Opal Sea, not only the largest and most beautiful of all aquatic bodies, but home to the kingdom of the Triton.

A race of sea dwelling dragons, they are seen by the other races as barbaric and uncivilized, but have never waged war upon the land despite the tension between the Triton and the rest of the world. Their dragon fire burns even underwater, making them dangerous adversaries. In addition, scales shed by the Triton are a powerful material that can be frayed and spun into thread when dry, then woven into the lightest and most durable of fabric armor--a commodity they often trade with the surface, resulting in a tenuous peace borne of necessity.

Tiberius of the Deep, son of the Triton king, is the youngest of three children. Though a skilled warrior, as the last in line for the throne, Tiberius has contented himself with his lack of power or position. Unable to stand with the kingdom's military forces because of his royal blood and lacking the authority to serve as a general like his two elder brothers, he lives beyond the borders of his kingdom on the coast of the Opal Sea. With access to the water he survives in, and the estate that is the Triton's gateway to the surface world, Tiberius has developed a superior understanding of land dwelling dragons, often making journeys into the kingdom of Lora to visit his mother's people.

Once his brother was gripped by the mating drive and ventured to the surface to seek his mate, Tiberius was summoned from his home along the coast to ensure Orin remains in check. Caring for the estate while Orin traverses the countryside in search of the one who can end his chronic wanderlust, Tiberius secretly envies what his brother will soon have: a mate to call his own, a family...and the throne of their people.

And while he's learned to be content with the life of a simple, land bound trader, far from the things he know he can never have...in moments like these, Tiberius struggles with the patience required to handle his elder brother's ill temper and hatred of the land dragons Tiberius has grown fond of in his self imposed exile.
